Gene Hackman is always my dark horse pick for best actor of his generation.

I've been trying to get my kids to rewatch this with me. I even promised to fast forward to the moment where Superman first appears. It's kind of a weird film because Reeve doesn't even appear for the first hour. What other film doesn't have the star appear for a whole hour?

The disappointed look at the phone booth always makes me chuckle. Over the years, I've really come to appreciate the newsroom scenes as well. "Of course not Lois, why would you want to make a complete fool out of somebody you'd just met?"

I also like how Lois can't spell anything and they keep pointing out the mistakes in her copy... and it's always gruesome words. Nice thoughts on a classic film!
