I agree completely. I can't count the number of times people have noticed my kids were speaking Spanish and screamed, "Build the wall!" It's a racist slogan, and I should be allowed to label it as such. However, if you stand up at a schoolboard meeting and insist that this is taught as an example of racism, everybody is aghast. "Don't bring politics into this!" they cry. This is the task before us. Trump has pulled back the curtain to show just how much of what we're taught to believe is nothing more than a pack of lies.
