I applaud the author's choice, but at the same time I wonder how she can get away with that. If you write a manuscript without dialogue tags you dramatically increase the number of rejections you're going to get. I wonder what the whole story is. Often, all we see are the books on the bestseller lists, but a lot of the backstory of how that book got there is hidden. Thanks for the thoughtful article.
