I believe in facts. The facts show that the Republicans are currently engaging in violence at every level of our society. They tried to overthrow the government on January 6th. They’ve been undermining our elections since November of last year. Their members have been attacking teachers and schoolboard members based on a white supremacist like that schools are teaching Critical Race Theory. This violence has to end. You need to recalibrate your interpretation of what’s happening. When you’re getting punched in the face, you don’t stop and try to figure out why somebody is punching you. First, you have to stop the violence. The Republicans are being violent, lawless, and (in some cases) treasonous. That’s where our focus needs to be, not sitting around wondering why the other side is angry. They’re breaking the law and they need to be held accountable. We can talk about things when our lives are no longer at risk. There, now that I’ve explained my position, are you willing to consider you might be wrong?
