I disagree with this response. Like it or not, Christianity has been used as a weapon against the black community in the United States. One example can be found in the voucher programs that take money from public schools and send them to predominantly white private Christian schools. Christian schools became popular only after segregation was made illegal. I also object to the "there are bad candidates on both sides" argument. Racism is part of the Republican platform.
