I don't know how the bot thing works either. However, you encounter them on web pages that send you to chatbots when you have a problem with a product. Automated messages like you get at the pharmacy are also similar. I think they can be programmed to respond to specific texts. Honestly, I have no patience for anyone I find annoying. Block them and don't worry if it's a person or a bot.
