I don't think they are. Racism is not a naturally occurring phenomenon. It developed over hundreds of years. The slavery in the Bible is not race based slavery. That came much later. I really wish the US would actually study this topic as part of the basic curriculum because it's a lot more complex than most people in our country realize. Thanks for the comment!
