I just watched the HBO documentary on Q, so the discussion of ‘taking pills’ scares me. I agree with you that conscientious citizens need to speak up. It’s good to peel back the layers and take note that virtually all the people we’ve been trained to admire were blatantly terrible human beings. When the right says “family values” what they mean is giving unquestionable authority to the dad. As a fallible dad myself, I am fully aware that’s not a solution to anything. I was a lot more tolerant before Trump. But my wife is an immigrant and I won’t tolerate people who bash immigrants. The astonishing thing is how many people I know act like my attitude is unreasonable. Just when has it ever been acceptable to insult somebody’s family and think that you can remain friends? I’ve also been lifting weights a lot more lately, it helps burn off my rage…that and writing these articles. Thanks for the comment!
