I think grammar is often a convenient excuse to censor messages the dominant community doesn't want to spread. Your comment made me recognize that most of the grammar mistakes people actually object to could be explained in about 10 minutes. There are a lot of inequities in education in the United States, and, unfortunately, it's often deliberate. Thanks for the nice comment!
