I think Martin Luther King Jr. made a very important comment on this. He said the moderates are the greatest obstacle to liberty because they sit passively and don't do anything. As you succinctly stated, the forces of oppression have normalized their viewpoint and vilified the path to equality. That's what we have to labor to change. Thanks for the comment.
