I think social media is inciting a lot of conflict too. Everybody posts an ignorant "hot take" of themselves screaming while they're driving their car. For some reason, the more outrageous a claim, the more attention it gets from the media. There are so many factors at play that seem to prevent people from being able to settle on a rational interpretation of events. Thanks for writing, every voice of reason is important!
