I was wondering if I was being mean when I wrote this, but that Martha's Vineyard stunt with those immigrant kids is still in my mind. They interviewed one of those kids on some right-wing news station and he was so hopeful and declared that he would "triumph" in the US... but the reporter neglected to translate his words. That made me so mad. Of course, if you cut federal disaster relief funding to Florida, the only people who are going to be hurt is the poor, but that's the way it always is in the US. We need to be talking about these things.
