I'm certain that you have to endure far worse than what my family has to endure. I did leave the country for 10 years starting in 2001, but I thought we'd turned the corner when Obama got elected (boy, was I wrong). There's so much about what we assume to be true about the US that is causing a lot of pain. We just need to have the courage to have these conversations. Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
