It's a daunting challenge. I think we take baby steps just by recognizing the problem. Too many writers that I know default to repeating the same old lies about meritocracy that are clearly invalid. Call people out when people say that. We have to take control of the conversation.

In the couple years that I've been writing social justice articles I have seen a slight change in my small audience. It just seems to me that most writers are way too passive in their thinking.
