It's sad how much traction baseless assumptions can get. I guess it's a result of pandering. People assume they know what sex trafficking is like, so they line up to see films that depict their false assumption rather than ones that might educate them on the reality. Throughout history, religious groups have endorsed child marriages, which is a form of trafficking, but you can't even start that discussion. I've talked to a couple victims of sex trafficking who had some very harsh words for the church. Thanks for the interesting comment!
