I've been one for constant apologies too. "I'm sorry, I'm sorry, I'm sorry." Then one day I opened my eyes and wondered why I was always the one who was wrong. But I still make myself apologize to my children. Gosh, that's been the hardest thing for me to understand. I resent that nobody ever said "I'm sorry to me," and to fix that I have to be the one who says it to the good people I meet. Thank you for the reflective story Linda. I hadn't read Mary Oliver before, one more choice to share with my girls before they go to sleep.
