I've been surprised by the response to this article. It was something I just sat down and cranked out. I guess I have good luck when I am smart enough to write without thinking too hard. Learning a foreign language was one of the best things I ever did. It changes how you see the world in a way that's wonderful (opens a lot of doors). Thanks for the kind comment!
