Nice article! I wrote something similar to this today. After college, I never once considered an MFA. Instead, I moved to Lima, Peru where I could live for almost nothing and I had all the time in the world to write. The part about feedback in your article makes me laugh, because I ran into the same thing in college. There's too much drama in the writing community. If you write something that's actually good you'll probably just make your professor and fellow students angry.
