Not at all. I've been reflecting thoughtfully on your question and the answer is no I don't think it's better for a starving person to have to ask for food. Human life is more valuable than possessions, and we can't have the expectation that people should have to ask for help because not all people can. Some people can't speak the language, some people don't have the ability to speak at all. If we are to be champions of humanity, we must seek to help others. Thanks for your comments!
