Oh, you'd have been a wonderful art teacher! I had a decent one in grade school, but they were awful after that. Fortunately I had all my other classes to sit and doodle.

I thought it was funny when I looked at those old still lifes. I've always liked a kind of scratchy, sloppy style.

Even now I find that teacher's attitude perplexing. It's like a question on a test where I just have no clue what the right answer is. Maybe someday I'll have that "ah-ha" moment and I'll understand. It seemed to me it would have taken so much less effort to just diffuse the situation. He had all the power. Maybe I'm underestimating the grip of ego. Who knows? Thanks so much Linda!
