One of my friends did basic training in the summer between our Junior and Senior year in high school. He wrote me a lot of letters and I could tell how traumatic the experience was for him. I don't think we should subject people to that kind of treatment. He's a Lieutenant Colonel today and satisfied with his life, but that was an extremely difficult time for him. Thanks for the comment!
