Thank goodness you were both able to get up and walk away. Collisions between cyclists and pedestrians are not common, but in most cases they don't result in serious injuries. The cyclist/motorist issue is always of chief concern for me since I've lost 2 friends to vehicle/cyclist collisions, but that doesn't mean that I won't scold a cyclist for being irresponsible. There's no reason to hit a pedestrian. We all must always practice greater mindfulness, of coruse I never seem to realize that until just after I've done something stupid. Is this an old story or did this just happen? I hope you didn't discover aches and pains the next day!
