Thank you Carin! You’re right about the immigrant test! I should actually write a story about that because I had to prep my wife for it. I made up flash cards and drilled her on it because I was terrified there would be some nefarious work at play. She did wonderfully of course.

It’s the barrage of lies that I can no longer deal with. You can’t have a conversation with a Trump supporter without hearing lie after lie after lie. They build their whole worldview on things that are blatantly and verifiably false. They only believe anonymous sources on the dark web, and never even acknowledge factual accounts from respected sources.

There’s a documentary about Qanon on HBO that offers a lot of insight into how they think. It’s terrifying.

I’m glad to be done with them. It’s nice to not have to bite my tongue all the time. For a group of people who say they like Trump because “he says what he thinks,” they sure get angry and pouty when I start saying what I think.
