Thank you for sharing your story and your thoughtful words. In my experience, I've come to believe that abusive people create "accidental" situations to justify themselves. I find that a lot of people get hung up on this point, but a broken plate is not less broken if it's dropped by accident. I used that example to illustrate that we simply need to accept that we are flawed and that we hurt people and that we have to be constantly vigilant about doing better. If accidents are happening, it's because your abuser isn't making the conscious decision to be careful around you. I feel that makes it deliberate--but I respect your right to disagree. I appreciate your thoughts and think that your comment offered a very valuable point of discussion.
