Thanks for that lovely comment Carin. You're absolutely right, farmers know their own land. This is where what they call the "elites" make mistakes. There's such a culture clash between when a modern idea is brought to a specific chunk of land. Even though the modern idea has worldwide applications, the farmer who has been on that piece of land for generations does tend to know it better. All of this is why I find it irritating that rural farmers tend to vote trump. They should be on the frontlines of people who recognize climate change is happening. There's so much at work that it's hard to figure out. I'll keep thinking about it, your comment gave me a lot of ideas. Thanks!
