That’s a valid perspective. I think the problem is that the moderate Democrats are just as much racist as the blatantly white supremacist Republicans. It’s good to be cynical about what a disaster our government is, and as cynical as I am, I see I don’t go far enough sometimes.

I guess it’s accurate to say the insurrection was a failure for Trump, but not for the white supremacists. Although, you’re right, there’s still a chance Trump might spring back to power. The fact that he hasn’t been arrested as a traitor is stunning to me. But again, you’re right, the white supremacist mechanism is strong in the US.

Presenting the MAGA slogan as a swastika doesn’t even really offend Trump supporters. God, I hope the slumbering American idiots wake up, but I’m not hopeful. Manchin and Sinema are doing everything they can to ensure the Republicans surge back to power in 2022.

What a disaster of a country this is.
