That's a very insightful comment. I read it last night and I have been reflecting on it. First of all, I don't believe that you're "not smart." Our public schools are only looking for one type of intelligence, but there are people who have a tremendous impact on the world that don't fit that model of intelligence. Second, there was always a weird, sexual innuendo with the male staff at my school. I think it's a component of the authoritarian model. I'll have to reflect more on that, thanks for giving me so much to think about!
