That's an insightful comment. Yes, I've had the same experience. These folks always act like I'm weak or incompetent because that's their preconception without any evidence. I'm not going to do something stupid like challenge them to a fight to prove otherwise, so they stew in their own juices. I think you're right, too, in that even if I did beat them in some arena they respected, they wouldn't acknowledge it anyway.

Sigh... it's like having to relive all the worst parts of high school isn't it?
