That's nice of you to say, and it's also a really interesting point. I'm mindful of the fact that the unconscious bias is there, even for people who aren't overtly exploiting it. It's like muscle memory and it takes a deliberate effort, even for otherwise good people, to overcome. I think the silver lining is that many people are blind to how much of their own misery is a result of their default affiliation with white supremacist ideology. The toxic nature of our country is not a natural state of being, but it sure is hard to get that idea through to people! Such a thoughtful comment, thank you!
