That's very well said. Our first job is putting an end to all the abuses. Often in American history, there's been a hope that the bad would "just go away." Ending the slave trade was too passive, the response to the Civil War was passive, the response to January 6th has been passive. The only people who are targeted for brutal punishment in the US are the innocent and the vulnerable. That has to change.
