The problem is that, today, rural areas are getting fascists elected. Everybody knows that's happening, and after the attack on the Capitol and the attempt to overthrow the government, we need some accountability. Perhaps the problem is the "one size fits all" approach. If the approach that is picked happens to work, you don't see a problem. But installing some filter at the beginning to ensure you have the right approach shouldn't be controversial. In rural areas, it often is. Thanks for the comment.
