This is a valuable article. I'm often concerned about inadvertently saying something offensive. The reality is that racial issues are extremely complex and we have to be mindful of our words. It's good to know how language is interpreted among diverse groups. Also, white people are trained to use certain language precisely because some groups find it offensive. We have to be mindful of that and work to overcome it.
