This is a very good article. I'm a teacher too and this kind of conflict is so terribly common in the workplace. My wife is Latina, also a teacher, and she often has fights similar to this. Good for you for standing up for the rights of those kids. The worst part is how antagonists are so inclined to respond with a sucker punch when they've been beaten (the false claim in your case). Entitled people never admit it when they have lost (see trump), and they're capable of truly terrible acts as a consequence. Keep fighting the good fight!
