Those are all excellent points. I certainly don't begrudge anyone who moves voluntarily. It's when people tell you to move rather than acknowledge the existence of an injustice that I object. I think many conservatives in the US look at the countries where women are treated worse and consider it an objective rather than a warning. What most disturbs me is how unaware most Americans are as to how much this country has moved towards becoming an oppressive society. After the Roe decision, approximately half the countries of the world are more inclined to protect the basic human rights of women more than the US. The US might be "better" than some places right now, but it's working very hard at becoming the worst. Thanks for the thoughtful comment!
