Very good article. The ridiculous conservative arguments you encounter when you bring up historical fact like this should be dismissed without even engaging them. It's only after you start cutting conservatives out of your life that you begin to perceive how absurd our whole social dialogue actually is. The sheer number of blatant contradictions starts to feel overwhelming. Bit by bit we'll keep chipping away and start making progress.
