Very well said, I particularly like your last paragraph. This is a nation founded on abuse. I think that's why articles on narcissism are so popular. It's basically the way the whole US treats all its citizens.

I suppose there are some kids that are malicious, but I find I more often have problems with the parents. Usually kids just want to be loved and if they're acting up it's because they have an abusive parent. That puts teachers in a hard place because the kids have learned to survive in their household and if you treat them to be good people they'll have a more difficult time at home.
