We did actually talk about replacing the head gaskets. I know that they tend to go out on Subarus, but I haven't had it happen yet. I decided to roll the dice because I figured other parts of the car were likely to go out before the gaskets. That's the way it ended up. Yes, it's troubling that even the most innovative minds of our time don't think beyond selling out. What a shame.
