Well, in that case I think you did the right thing and he should probably apologize to you. Or you could ask him to clarify his pronouns since that's likely to get him all riled up.
Lately I've been getting angry at people for tolerating the fact that the church discriminates against women by not permitting them to be priests. I become angry when people defend it, and I ask them why they stand for an organization that tells my daughters "they're not good enough" to lead? The weird part is that they think the "but the Bible..." argument actually justifies their position.
I think we have to have these uncomfortable conversations. I'm not going to be quiet and pretend like any instance of discrimination against women is okay. I have daughters. I can't do that.
