When I first saw it, I thought the ending was so true it hurt. Naturally parents are going to do the opposite when their child offers a warning. I always liked how everything in the ultimate battle in the fortress of ultimate darkness can be seen in Kevin's room when he's rescued by the firemen. This film ties everything together very neatly. I also always laugh when Evil blows up one of his minions then says, "That's a good question." The fact that they keep asking questions even though evil keeps blowing them up is funny too. Time Bandits isn't just my favorite Gilliam movie, it's pretty high on the all time list.
