Wow, what a bizarre situation! Thanks for offering such a thoughtful commentary. My family has enjoyed Millie Bobby Brown's work, particularly in the Enola Holmes films. On the one hand, I appreciate that this project provided some work to a writer. Perhaps in 10 years we'll be trudging through the dreck of manuscripts celebrities insisted on writing themselves. I always laugh about the statistics that publishers don't make any money. Maybe it's because they publish a lot of junk? (Nobody ever seems to say that). I'm old enough to remember Millie Vanilli... (repetition of Millie is an interesting coincidence). I always thought it bizarre that they were stripped of their Grammy. Why didn't they just award it to the actual singers? All of a sudden the music wasn't "good" because the celebrities weren't responsible for it? I never understand why celebrities feel the need to intrude upon every creative outlet. Just share a little bit of the attention with other people! But it probably wasn't Millie Bobby Brown's idea, after watching the Elvis movie, I've come to the realization that a lot of these seemingly "all-powerful" celebrities are pretty much given orders what to do. She seems like a nice person and she's a wonderful actress My "to read" pile is already on the verge of toppling over, so I don't think I'll read this one.
