Yeah, I agree. Modern day Americans Christians would probably lynch Jesus Christ. They're an absolute embarrassment to the concepts of goodness and decency. That being said, the Bible was written in the middle ages, basically the worst period of human history. There's a lot of stuff in the Bible that's absolutely sadistic. The way the right embraces fascism is terrifying.
