Yeah, I know that frustration well. People get really uncomfortable if you make them admit that having money doesn’t mean anything. Thieves have money, are they decent people? You’ll get a lot of uncomfortable laughter if you say something like that. I’ll say things like, “I’m not dropping this topic until you admit that it’s more likely a person got rich because of nefarious behavior.” Even then you’re likely to just get into a family fight and never talk to them again (which is fine). Sigh…
