Yes, it's better to block people when they go off the rails like that. I'm a lot quicker on the block trigger than I used to be. A few months ago I had one comment that was borderline, but it came after another comment that was also borderline, so I figured that was enough. After I blocked her, I got a private message from her friend telling me how great a person she was. I sent him the link to my Ko-Fi page and said the "unblocking fee" is $100 if it means that much to her. She elected to remain blocked.
