You bring up a good point. When people like Marjorie Taylor Greene are allowed to go around and baselessly accuse everyone of being a trafficker or pedophile it makes it tougher to expose the real predators. Somebody left me a comment the other day and suggested our country is deliberately blind to the true amount of sexual violence that is directed at children here. Patriarchal systems of oppression from slavery to religion all seem to line up with a common purpose, and one of the primary drivers of their psychology seems to be sexual exploitation. I wish we could get to a point where we could talk openly about this, but people think they need to choose a path of discretion. Why is that? We refuse to talk openly about "respected" organizations that cover up the worst kind of abuse imaginable and that's wrong.
