You know, it's interesting but even in the case you mention, patriarchal thinking is ultimately at fault. If we had things like universal basic income, universal health care, universal education, people wouldn't be pushed into desperate situations. Men ultimately profit from our unjust system (even if some men experience blowback occasionally), and it needs to be dismantled. Thanks for the comment.
