You're right. It's not easy. Before the 2020 election, I posted on Facebook that anyone who voted Trump was dead to me. I talked to a lot of people who I thought were on the fence face to face. A lot of them pretended to hear me and then voted for Trump anyway. But Trump voters are stupid so they always let the truth slip out eventually. So, I took the opportunity to tell them that I thought they were terrible people and they were out of my life. It didn't matter if it was family. A lot of them said things like, "You can't be serious." I don't know if it influences them at all to be ghosted, but I let them know I was dead serious and I couldn't trust them around my children because they were Trump supporters. It's not easy for about a year, and then you start feeling a lot better. They are horrible, toxic, terrible people who will only have a negative influence on your life. Get some new friends. It's totally worth it.
